Library Trustee Board

The Chouteau County Library Board of Trustees is the policy-making body of the Chouteau County library system, including branch libraries in Fort Benton, Big Sandy, Geraldine, and Highwood. The board controls the expenditures of the public library fund, the construction or leasing of the library building, and the operations and care of the library. The library director is hired by and serves at the pleasure of the board.

Trustee Meetings:

The Board of Trustees meetings are usually held on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 12:00 noon*. The board strives to meet twice a year at the Big Sandy branch library and twice a year at the Geraldine branch library with the remaining eight meetings being held at the Fort Benton library.
