Library Trustee Board
The Chouteau County Library Board of Trustees is the policy-making body of the Chouteau County library system, including branch libraries in Fort Benton, Big Sandy, Geraldine, and Highwood. The board controls the expenditures of the public library fund, the construction or leasing of the library building, and the operations and care of the library. The library director is hired by and serves at the pleasure of the board.
Trustee Meetings:
The Board of Trustees meetings are usually held on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 12:00 noon*. The board strives to meet at least once a year at the Big Sandy branch library and once a year at the Geraldine branch library with the remaining meetings being held at the Fort Benton library.
*Times may vary but will be advertised at least 48-hours in advance*

The Chouteau County Library Board of Trustees will have a quorum of members at the Pathfinders meeting on Thursday, Oct. 1st, at 9:30 a.m. at the Fort Benton Library. This meeting is for training purposes only, and no business will be conducted.
The Chouteau County Library Board of Trustees policy committee will meet on Monday, Oct. 5th, at 9 a.m. at the Fort Benton Library to discuss the Social Media Policy. This meeting is open to the public.
